What is Vaporization?
A. With the vaporisation technique hot air passes through the plants. During this process the flavoring and active ingredients will be set free through controlled temperature 130°C (266°F) to 230°C (446°F). Due to the specific vaporisation temperature of the plant material the ingredients are released into the air and can subsequently be inhaled.
Why Vaporize?
A. There are both economical and health benefits to vaporizing. Smoking plants burns up almost 40% of the active ingredients. Vaporizing the plant gently releases the active ingredients making it possible to vaporize the contents several times before ingredients are dissolved. Smoking plants also releases tar and cancer causing agents as bi-products. Vaporizing a plant releases a clean vapor and thus a healthy alternative to smoking tobacco.
Why is the Volcano Vaporizer more expensive then other Vaporizers?
A. Simply put the Volcano has set the standards in vaporising. It is German engineered in Germany, and handcrafted with top quality material. Engineers concentrated on designing a safe device with efficient and controlled vaporization. The Volcano has a unique patented valve & balloon system, maximizing vapor inhalation. The accurate air control provided by the Volcano is essential for obtaining full effect of plant active ingredients. The Volcano is the best vaporizer that money can buy.
What is the difference between the Classic and Digital Volcano?
A. There are differences in the technology, but the overall effect is not compromised. The Digital has a large LED display which gives immediate information about the operating status. It can also change the display between °Celsius and °Fahrenheit and has a larger temperature range 104-446 degrees compared to the Volcano Classics range of 226-446 degrees. The Volcano Digit offers temperature accuracy of +/- 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit while the Volcano Classic offers temperature accuracy of +/- 9 degrees Fahrenheit. The Digital uses an electronic control system instead of a bi-metal regulator on the Classic. Both can use either the Easy Valve or Solid Valve kits.
What is the difference between the Easy Valve and Solid Valve?
A. Both kits are effective, but it depends on your preference. With the Easy Valve maintenance is simply. There is no need to dismantle or clean the valve kit after use, just clean out the filling chamber. With the Easy valve the balloon is attached to the valve already. You can use the Easy valve until it can no longer be used, usually about every 100-150 fillings. The Easy valve comes with 5 Easy valve balloon sets. This means that for larger groups, several valves can be used. Benefits of the Solid Valve are; you can select the balloon size, balloon material is inexpensive, and tens of thousands have already been purchased. The Solid Valve kit does require frequent cleaning, and attaching the balloon to the valve can be tricky for beginners.
What maintenance is required?
A. The filling chamber screens and air filters may need to be replaced about every 12 months.
Where can I get extra parts and balloons?
A. You can order extra balloons from us. Likewise you can also order both the Easy Valve and Solid Valve kit from us. Your Volcano is compatible with both kits.
What happens if my Volcano malfunctions?
A. We offer a 7 day money back guarantee. If you get your Volcano and it does not function, simply contact us and send it back. Your Volcano comes with a 2 year (for Digital Volcano) or 3 year (for Classic Volcano) manufacturer's warranty. Be sure to keep warranty paper work and purchase invoice. If malfunction is found to be caused by you (such as by dropping it) we will send you an estimate for repairs. Please make sure that all residue is cleaned from the Volcano before posting it.
How long does the vapor remain in the balloon?
A. The vapors in the balloon will condense in the balloon, but this will take hours. The vapors in the balloon are intended to be inhaled within 5-10 minutes for little or no loss of vapors.
Can the plant burn in the Volcano Vaporizer?
A. No, with the design of the Volcano the user's safety was top priority. Other vaporizers on the market may burn your plant; however, the Volcano is programmed so that the critical air temperature does not reach 230°C (446°F).
What temperature setting should I use?
A. It is quit easy to figure out what temperature will work for you. Simply keep an eye on your balloon while using it. Once you see a stream of white mist filling the balloon you know that the temperature is effective. If you see nothing then it indicates that the temperature is too low, or there are not active ingredients left in the plant. With the Digital the settings range from 1-9, corresponding to temperatures of 130°C (266°F) to 226°C (439°F). Cellulose (organic material or plant material) has a point of spontaneous combustion at 235°C (455°F) and higher. Users state they generally use setting 7 or 400°F.
Is there any odor?
A. Only minimal odor development is created with use. However, after a few minutes no odor is detected. Non smokers will not be subjected to any adverse effects while sharing a room with users.
